Prayer & Declaration

This year has probably been the most peculiar year of most of our life times. There are people who have experienced loss of loved ones, jobs, homes, security and more. Nearly everyone faced uncertainty; yet here we are. Some going strong; while others just are barely making it. My encouragement to everyone reading this post, is to trust God and press on. We are here; because we are filled with purpose for this very moment and future moments. As hard as it might be, I admonish everyone to let go of the happenings and baggage of this year; and approach 2021 with hope and expectation; because we have a God who loves us; and He has great plans for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11).

Whenever I’ve faced difficulty in my life, the words of Larnelle Harris’ song “Beyond What I Can See” floods my soul:

My God is faithful.
And not a promise He has made.
Has gone unfulfilled
According to His will

And He is able
For by His grace He supplies
My every need
His faithfulness exceeds
Beyond what I can see.

And God is worthy
If not another blessing came,
I’d still give Him praise;
The balance of my days.

And He’s forgiving,
Though I caused Him much pain.
He still calls me friend.
His love and grace sees
Beyond what I can see.

Chorus:
Beyond what I can see
Beyond what I can see
Though the roads aren’t clear
I will not fear the way He’s leading me.
So until the morning light
When my faith ends in sight
I rest assured in whom I have believed
And follow on beyond what I can see.

God is holy
And He delivered me from sin.
To be the same.
Unto Him I’ll remain
Forever thankful
For though I’ve broken His commands
He still sets me free
His love for me exceeds
Beyond what I can see.

Chorus
Beyond what I can see
Beyond what I can see
Though the roads are clear
I will not fear the way He’s leading me.
So until the morning light
When my faith ends in sight
I rest assured in whom I have believed
And follow on beyond what I can see.

So until the morning light
When my faith ends in sight
I rest assured in whom I have believed
And follow on beyond what I can see.
And follow on beyond what I can see.

Remember these words as you cross over into 2021 (or twenty twenty won)! Expect God’s favor! Expect victory! Expect enlarged borders and expanded territories. This week’s prayer is about letting go of the past. You can pray it along with me here. The declaration is based on the Prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 and is: My borders are enlarging and my territories are expanding. Declare it until it becomes more real than any undesirable circumstance that you might be dealing with. God bless you and get ready to win in 202won!
